Please consider Plant Health Care (PHC) for your valuable trees and shrubs.
What is Plant Health Care (PHC)? And how does it differ from Conventional spray programs?
In Conventional spray programs, we try to anticipate what pests and diseases your trees might encounter and treat for those. In many cases, the threat is contained with the initial treatment, but we continue to spray to "prevent the problem from recurring."
The problem is, many beneficial insects, which help control pest populations, and provide food for birds and small animals, are destroyed in the process. This alters the normal "checks and balances" that occur naturally, and increases the need for ongoing sprays.
In Plant Health Care (PHC), we MONITOR plants closely and make small changes where possible to increase plant health and vigor. This reduces the amount of pesticides required, protecting beneficial insects, birds, and small animals.
The plants AND environment are healthier, and as plant vigor increases, pests are less likely to gain a foothold. This further decreases the need for spraying.
In the final stages of a successful PHC program, the need for spraying insecticides is virtually eliminated and replaced by strict monitoring. Insecticide sprays are then used ONLY when needed where stubborn problems persist.
